Honest Current Review is an independent-minded editorial publication about electricity and energy literacy. It is for curious readers who want to understand the ideas behind power generation, networks, storage and everyday use without needing an engineering background.

Start with the thing that puzzles you

A battery, a power line or a rooftop panel can prompt a useful question: what is happening here, and what is not? We use familiar examples to make core concepts easier to picture, while keeping the explanations within the limits of what a general reader can safely act on.

Clear about what an explanation can do

The publication focuses on concepts, comparisons and context rather than technical instructions. It does not tell readers how to install, repair or modify electrical equipment, or make decisions about energy contracts, costs or investments. When an idea depends on specialist knowledge or local requirements, we say so rather than pretending one answer fits everyone.
