Write for us
We welcome considered pitches about electricity and energy concepts that a curious general reader can understand without specialist training. Proposals are sent through the Contact page; please do not send a finished article unless we have requested one.
What fits
Strong ideas explain one subject with care: how a concept works, why a familiar comparison misleads, how two broad approaches differ, or what a term means in context. We are interested in evergreen subjects that do not depend on fresh statistics, testing claims or a reader taking on technical work.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the central question, the main point a reader should leave with, why the subject merits its own piece and how you would explain it plainly. Mention the kinds of sources you would consult and where the explanation needs limits or caveats. Keep the proposal focused enough that its scope is easy to see.
Safety and scope
We do not seek instructions for electrical installation, repair, modification or other hazardous work, nor advice on contracts, taxes, investments or other financial decisions. A useful pitch explains concepts without asking readers to rely on professional credentials or local rules that may differ.
